Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, A Treasury of Sherlock Holmes (hardbound Hanover House edition, 1955, purchased for $1 in the back room of the Dollar Scholar thrift house on Hawthorne).

Wow. I've done this one several times and it's never been the same book twice.

Disclosure: I have not read this book, nor do I intend to in the extreme near future.
